Where Your Diets Could Go Wrong
Once a person gets seriously overweight and especially obesity, he/she can develop into a number of serious diseases and health problems particularly at an early age.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recently released a report showing that obesity is one of the top ten causes of death and preventable diseases.
World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that people should eat more fruits, vegetables and lesser sugar and refined grained grains.
Millions years ago, the only low-calorie event in human's lives was starvation. Those who manage to survive are those we are able to cope with the lack of food available.
In the face of lesser food intake, our body had adapted and developed a build-in mechanism to help us survive but not for very long. Once the reserves energy is used up, body conditions will deteriorate.
When we find out that we are overweight, we tend to not to eat food. We skip our lunch and eat on a tiny amount for dinner hoping that when we skip meal, the more fats our body will get rids off.
If your idea of a diet is not eating, think again because a starvation diet will only add more pounds in the long run. For healthy adults, one day fasting poses no serious threat but if fasting lasts longer than 24 hours, it can have consequential results.
When you don't eat enough calories to sustain essential functions like keeping your heart beating, lungs breathing, etc, your body will reacts and draw on its own reserves to provide energy. This is bad as your body is put under stress and certainly not the answer to permanent weight loss you desired.
To reach your weight loss goals may be easier than you think. If you plan to lose a pound of fat per month, you need to cut 100 calories daily from your diet, assuming that the expenditure and intake of all the other calories remains the same.
A pound of body fat is equivalent to 3,500 calories and if you continue to cut 100 calories daily for at least 31 days, you have lose 3,100 calories or about a pound.
A pound per month may seem a little slow for you but research finds out that keeping weight off for the long-term is possible if you lose it gradually.
Note that losing weight overnight is not possible. Although both overweight and thin people has roughly the same amounts of calories according to researchers, the difference between them is the amount of fat overweight people consume. Thin people are less likely to eat more fatty or complex carbohydrate foods.
For those who diet often get fatter with time as they do not exercise. Weight loss may drop initially but mostly the weight loss consists of muscle and water. The bad thing is when weight returns, it stored as fats. The best way to avoid overweight is to increase your metabolism by exercising frequently.
Your exercise routine should be comfortable
with you. Walking is one the easiest way for control your weight, toning your
muscle and strengthening your bones. You should add at least 20 minutes of
exercises to your mornings like running, biking, walking, etc.
If you have a
healthy diet, exercising regularly while taking diet pills, you will be on your
way to achieve your weight loss goals quickly and this is the most recommended
by weight loss experts.
